Using Metal Slug as a starting off point for our ideas in creating our mall cop game provides us with really good ideas and mechanics that fit well with the side scrolling genre.

• Different Weapon load outs help to mix up the game play
• varying the enemies will also help in adding fun into the mix and making the game less stale
• the way the use vehicles in Metal Slug might be a good way of using the segway that the mall cop is riding
